Was up a little early today. Skyped with Kim and Tim on Kare 11, live @ 6:20am, it was great way to start my day Since i was up early i decided to take advantage of my early start an go walking. Today i walked all 4 levels, some even twice. I had 9,500 steps in before 8:00am. thats a first.
I started using the SPRI equipment the past few mornings. I am using the exercise bands to DO curls and arm extensions. Gets the blood flowing. I like it because it wakes my arms up.
The DO’s are getting easier to DO. i still get tired, but I am able to go longer and can sometimes carry on a conversation through out the entire 10 minute exercise DO and that feels real good.
My Brother Steve, His wife Andrea and their children called me from Germany today. He said “so i am reading the news feed in Germany on the web and some story comes across about a guy living in a box for 30 days. I said who would be crazy enough to do that? I opened the link and it was you!” we laughed. He put me on speaker phone for the family and we laughed as I waved at them on the web came. So, I guess its pretty clear, I forgot to tell them I was doing this.
Left the Glass Box to DO an outside activity today. Went to the Uppercut Gym in Northeast Mpls. I went through my first workout with Lisa. She was in such good shape. I knew that it would be a work out. I was not aware of what a full body workout it was. You might think it is all punching, all upper body, but the truth is i could feel it in my legs. We worked on combinations, balance, the heavy bag and the speed bag. The timing and concentration is so important. I definitely think Boxing is good workout. its a great way to change up your work out.
i ended today with 19,150 steps and keep in mind 9,580 were from my morning walk. Pretty proud of what i accomplished today.
