Day 16 Re-Cap

Day 16
I woke up to a couple of thousand people out side my doors this morning. The Fraser walk for Autism took place today. As I walked this morning i could not help but think what an inspiration the event was. All those families joining together to raise awareness. So many smiles, children and adults alike. So much Love…
Various stations, fun zones were set up all over the MOA first floor. So many volunteers willing to help. That was a nice way to start my day.

At 11am, the ‘do’ Groove guy who dances in the clinic waiting room in the Blue Cross of MN campaign commercials stopped by to help raise awareness of what I am DO.ing.  We danced all afternoon. We had a blast dancing together. I made him a healthy lunch, Chicken breast and one of my signature salads.  We talked for about 45 minutes and got to know each other better. He is a great guy with a huge heart. 
After lunch around 2 he joined me in my “Daily DO” , we did a ZUMBA class together! I know i was sweating, but he was in a sweater! We laughed about that.
From one actor to another, what a a great guy. Very genuine person and it was real nice having him around today. 

I then started prepping Dinner for my March Madness party. Julie and some of my friends stopped over for a little basketball Final four party. I made some healthy snacks, thanks to some of my online friends for suggesting healthy snacks!
I also made some of the Southwestern Sweet Pepper Nachos from Chris Freytags cook book. This is the second time I have made them! So good.

Julie and friends showed up around 6pm, It was fun to see how they reacted to all the crowds watching us eat and watch TV. I put out the food and i must say i received compliments on my healthy snacks. maybe they were being kind, but i will take the compliments either way. hehe, it was great to have them over. They even did my 7pm DO with me..

As day 16 comes to a close, i am reminded that the healthy choices I make, can impact my friends as well. And it was not that hard to DO.
